Emily Myers

Hi. I'm a writer and radio broadcaster living in Brooklyn, NY. This blog is where I gather my ideas about travel and parenting.

 

I lived in San Francisco for a decade and was involved in producing the arts adventure app CreativeCity. I love collaborating with other writers. My previous blog, Happy Day You, was a place to capture the early years of parenting. Before life in SF and NYC, I was in London working as a senior broadcast journalist for the BBC, specializing in making news accessible to a young audience. I worked as a reporter, newsreader, producer and editor for BBC Radio 1 as well as a researcher and ambassador for Radio 1’s news program, Newsbeat.

 

I hold an MA in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and a diploma in journalism from the London College of Communication, a constituent college of the University of the Arts, London.  I've performed my work live as part of Listen to Your Mother NYC and I am happiest working out life’s complexities with my three sons.
